Serving as a choral clinician is one of my favorite ways to spend time outside of my groups - bring me in to advise and assess your group on blend and tuning issues, as well as interpretation and performance.
If you are unable to attend a rehearsal and need a substitute director, I am available to support your lesson plan and lead a rehearsal for you.
Along with my wife, we have lead a number of workshops centered around Body-Mapping and the Art of Breathing that we would love to share with your musical or community group. (Based around Barbara Conable's Structures of Breathing.) I have sessions built around composition, arranging, and editing/revising choral music. I also enjoy leading choral retreats full of education, community building, and music!
My most recent conference plenary was Singing a New Song. In this keynote address, interim ministers will receive music resources and music-making solutions to share with their congregations. Through a sequence of encouragement — social and spiritual— leading to service, it will be demonstrated how the interim minister might engage with music, congregation, and community.
I would love to speak at your conference or festival on a range of topics!
I play a number of instruments, including Saxophone (Soprano/Alto/Tenor) and Euphonium, for which I am happy to offer my services.
